The first three releases from the forthcoming collection Echo—Variations
are out now, as of 18 September 2026
Subtitled Dubs Reworks Remixes — Echo—Variations is a
dynamic reimagining of the transfixing Arp album “Drifts” released
late last year on Modern Obscure Music
EP1 features storied German electronic producer Jan Jelinek,
Nairobi-born / Berlin-based sound artist KMRU and
glitch-minded ambient techno producer J. Albert
EP2 features acclaimed ambient auteurs Jefre Cantu-Ledesma
and Laurie Torres, both of whose most recent albums, “Gift Songs”
and “Apres Coup”, respectively, were gorgeous exercises in
atmosphere and restraint, featuring everywhere in Best of 2025
lists. The release also includes two unreleased Arp reworks,
touching on Basinski-esque disintegration and pastoral minimal
techno.
EP3 featuring acclaimed cellist / composer / improviser Lia Kohl
and Milan-based electro-acoustic artist and Senufo Editions label-runner Giuseppe Ielasi, who both invite the listener into immersive otherworldly atmospheres. 2 unreleased Arp tracks feature the pastoral ambient
techno of “Chlorophyll (1998 mix)” and the driving dub techno of
“MMXXVI (Dub mix)”
